Marquette Mutineers defenseman Levi Jezek will graduate from Northern Michigan University this Saturday as part of the Winter 2016 commencement. He will receive his Bachelor’s in Industrial Technology.

“It’s been a great experience,” Jezek said. “There’s so much to learn that I never want to stop learning.”

This is Jezek’s latest academic achievement after he received an Associate’s in Computer Numerical Control Technology in 2015 and a Computer Numerical Control Technician certificate in 2014. Both were completed at NMU. He is a 2008 alumnus of Negaunee High School.

Jezek has played in five games for the Mutineers this season, starting three of them. Jezek also played with the Marquette Iron Rangers last season, notching seven assists and 51 penalty minutes.

He will miss the road game against the Monroe Blues on Saturday but will be available for Friday night at Portage Lake.

Commencement begins at 10:30 a.m. local time and will be broadcasted locally on WNMU-TV 13 and online through NMU’s website.
